About me

Hi there, I’m Faye. I've spent most of my life on the East Coast, living in the Big Apple. That experience has shaped me into someone who thrives in fast-paced, urban environments. My time in New York City especially taught me to be resilient, driven, and comfortable navigating highly competitive professional settings. I currently work at JPMC Chase. Throughout my career, I’ve consistently demonstrated a strong focus on user needs, collaborating closely with engineers and product owners to deliver impactful and innovative solutions.

I have a proven track record of success in:

  1. User-centered design: I prioritize user research and feedback in all design decisions, ensuring that every interaction is intuitive and enjoyable.

  2. Design systems: I’m proficient in developing and implementing design systems, streamlining workflows and improving design consistency.

  3. Accessibility: I’m passionate about creating inclusive designs that are accessible to all users.

  4. Collaboration: I thrive in collaborative environments and value open communication and feedback.

Key achievements include:

  1. Successfully led the development and implementation of a design system for a B2B eCommerce website.

  2. Significantly improved the B2B buyer journey for Samsung’s B2B website. Spearheaded the development of an enhanced dark mode for mobile and web platforms.

  3. Conducted workshops and training sessions to enhance the design skills of colleagues.

  4. Consistently delivered high-quality designs that meet business objectives and exceed user expectations.

At the heart of my work is a belief that great design is collaborative, intentional, and always evolving.

  • I believe in engaging users from the very beginning—listening closely to their needs and pain points. This helps ensure that our solutions align user goals with business goals.

  • I don’t wait for answers to come to me. At the start of a project—when ambiguity is high or false consensus exists—being proactive helps surface assumptions and define direction early.

  • Every team member brings unique skills. I take time to understand those around me so we can collaborate better and tap into complementary strengths during the design process.

  • User understanding shouldn’t live in silos. I work with my team to develop empathy together—because shared understanding leads to better, more user-centered decisions.

  • Before diving into solutions, I advocate for defining and agreeing on the problems we're solving. Every team member should have a voice in shaping that understanding.

  • While design is creative, it's also deeply logical. I make data-informed decisions, ensuring each UI element serves a purpose. I rely on research and behavioral data to validate design choices.

  • I aim to test early concepts quickly and cheaply—learning from real users before investing heavily. Frequent iteration reduces waste and increases confidence in the final product.

  • I work side by side with engineers from day one. Including them in early ideation ensures a shared vision and smoother handoffs. Every micro-interaction matters—and I help developers see how those details impact user experience.

  • Design is never “done.” I track metrics to measure impact and identify opportunities for improvement. Continuous iteration is key to building products that evolve with users’ needs.

Let's work together
  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • Take a minute to write an introduction that is short, sweet, and to the point.
